You'd be surprised but, we often get asked this at fairs.
Yes, we really make our items in fused glass ourselves. All our glass is handcut - we do not buy in ready shaped glass or fused glass items to sell on.
Accessories such jewellery findings, chains, frames and stands are bought, sometimes second hand or from charity shops to be upcycled.
With regards to glass painted items, these are largely upscaled items, reinventing glass candle holders, bottles etc.
We try our utmost to ensure all items you buy from us are packed as well as possible to ensure they reach you safely. Should an item be damaged in transit please see our returns policy for information on how to organise a refund.
We do reuse and utilise boxes and packaging we already have to save waste, so it may look a bit put together but it will be well packaged.
Currently, we do not take commissions. However, if you have an idea you would like to see, colours you love etc be sure to let us know - why not drop us a line on the website or on our social media, and who knows?!
Glass is very temperamental and you cannot fuse together any old glass! The glass must have the same COE ( coeffecient of expansion).
We use Bulleyes glass, COE 90.
We will be offering experiences, where you can come to our small, glass studio (Matilda the craft caravan) and enjoy a 1-to-1 fused glass making experience, where you will be able to make a choice of items in 2-3 hours. Look out for further details.
We do not rent out our kiln.
